Original Abstract Garden Paintings – why do I paint garden landscape

As an artist with a deep interests and appreciation for both the stark beauty of black and white art and the vibrant allure of colour, I find myself continuously pulled in different creative directions. The challenge lies in honing on a single theme for an extended period. The temptation to explore diverse subjects and styles is ever-present, reflecting the dynamic range of my artistic vision from landscape art to pure abstract art. Embracing this versatility enriches my practice, infusing each piece with a distinctive energy and emotion. While focus may shift, the constant thread weaving through my work is a profound passion for experimentation and expression, transcending the boundaries of traditional categorization. Yet, from a certain point, my artistic focus is on abstract garden paintings. The question is why?

Why do garden landscape painting become my primary focus recently?

However, upon deeper introspection, I have come to realize that the roots of my interest in abstract garden paintings may be traced back to the cherished memories of my grandparents. Their tiny garden for a 2-year kid I was while seeing their garden for the last time, seemed to be a paradise full of mystery and plants rising above my head. I felt like in a fairy-tale-like jungle surrounded by warm, loving people. And it is this deeply ingrained image I hold in my mind that leads me now to frequently painting garden landscapes. Each time I sit in front of a white canvas thinking of a new painting I see my grandparents and their garden with the eyes of my soul and I feel truly happy

It is that pure joy of an innocent and curious child I want to pass to other people by means of my garden paintings. I hope to inspire, to raise mood, to give new and fresh energy that only nature and art may provide us.

Why do my art fall into the category of abstract garden painting?

As a realistic traditional landscape paintings I consider an artwork representing a certain exisiting piece of reality. It may be based on a photography or better created while working in plein air. Each artwork is a thoughtful interpretation of the world around us, capturing the essence of specific locations.

While my art is created from imagination and it bears only more or less distant echoes to the experienced reality. Where reality intertwines with dreams, my art finds its voice. An example of such approach is an oil garden painting below called Tree of Life.

I have a very difficult years connected with my family and some lost that completely drained my energy and made me so sad and without hope. Luckily, it was some time ago and I finally maneged to restore. Yet this hard period in my life left me more vulnerable. Now, I do my best to surround myself with things I love and things that spread beauty and positive vibes. That involves my paintings thus I hope they may play role of therapeutic art.

My goal is to create abstract garden paintings, symbolic garden landscapes that are interesting, visually appealing and may play therapeutic role.
