Abstract paintings solo exhibition reception opening

On January 16th, 2019, I had the privilege of hosting the reception opening for my abstract paintings exhibition, Hand Notes. This event marked a significant milestone in my artistic journey and was filled with pride and anticipation. The theme of Hand Notes encapsulated the essence of my work, offering a glimpse into the intricate connections between emotions, movements, and expressions.

Interestingly, it was a year earler that I found myself unexpectedly drawn to the world of abstract art. Until then, creating abstract paintings didn’t hold much appeal for me. At first, I have thought it must be easy just to throw randomly colour paints on a canvas. After first steps in abstract theme, I have realized the thing is more complicated it seems to be. It’s probably because of my fine art education at high school and at the university, when I was taught mainly realistic drawing and painting. Soo, creating a piece of art without a real picture in mind, initially caused some problems I had to overcome. With help, the music came. Listening to Celine Dion greatest hits made me burst with energy that resulted in Lady in Red abstract painting (in the photo below). To my utter surprise, the audience’s response to my work was overwhelmingly positive.
